In Windows, you work with zipped files and folders in the same way that you work with uncompressed files and folders. Combine several files into a single zipped folder to more easily share a group of files.
To zip (compress) a file or folder
Locate the file or folder that you want to zip.
Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.
A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name.
ZIP album files always have the.zip extension. Tap the ZIP album file you want to unzip. The list of files in the compressed ZIP folder appears. Tap Extract to unzip the file. After the files are extracted, a list of the unzipped files displays. In the Files by Google app, tap the file you want to unzip, then tap Extract and Done. Right-click one of the selected items and go to Send to Compressed (zipped) folder. To include files in different locations in the same ZIP file, include just one to start with. Then, drag and drop the rest of the files into the ZIP file. You can drop them in one at a time or several at once.
